event was held at Belmont Plateau to honor
the longtime coach of Cardinal Dougherty HS
/Temple University and a designer of the
cross country courses used since the 1960s.

4TH Annual Phila. University RAM RUN
The 4th Annual Philadelphia University Ram Run
was won this year by James McShane (17:43) and
Alyssa Gundrum (21:20) in March.  Roman
Catholic TC was the overall winner of the team
championship with funds raised directed toward
the Men and Women's Cross Country & Track
program.

4th  ANNUAL JACK SAINT CLAIR CROSS
COUNTRY CHAMPIONSHIP
. October 8th,  Belmont
Plateau.   Robert Denault (26:22) won the 5 Mile
and Vicki Davis of Bloomsburg University (22:30)
won the Jack Saint Clair Memorial on the tough
Belmont Plateau course. Davis performance on
the 6,000 meter course was a new meet/course
record.  Villanova Men and Bloomsburg Women
were the team champions in the 2011 event. Over
200 total XC runners competed in the annual race.

11th PHILADELPHIA CATHOLIC CROSS COUNTRY
OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP
.  Saturday, October 22nd,
Belmont Plateau.
 2011   Phil Celona (Archbishop
Ryan Grad) ran 15:53 (5:07 /mile pace) to win the
5,000 meter  PCL Open XC race this year. Celona
came back to Belmont Plateau to win over a field of
69  men .  Most of the runners were former PCL XC
runners.  The women's  race over the same 5,000
course was won by
Tara Gannon (Archbishop
Prendergast Grad) in a time of 22:15 (7:11 pace).   
The
Archbishop Ryan team of (Celona, O'Conner,
and Wommer) won the Men's Open team title and
the
Archbishop Prendergast team of Gannon,
Clinton, and Moleski) were the women's team
champs.  The PCL race major sponsors were Dr
Steve Blasi (La Salle Grad) and Dr Ira Meyers
(Montgomery Podiatric Assoc).   Click Here for

39TH ANNUAL SCHUYLKILL RIVER LOOP RUN
NOVEMBER 12, 2011
.  THE OLDEST ROAD
RACE IN PHILADELPHIA!!!  For the 18th year, PAC
(Dave Thoma) will produce the 8.4 Mile race
around the Schuylkill River. This traditional fall
road race proceeds the Philadelphia Marathon and
is a great last tuneup race for the marathon.
Donations from the event are targeted to Project
Bemont Plateau and the Make A Wish Foundation
(in the name of the Phila Univ. XC runners, who
volunteer for the race.
