PROJECT BELMONT PLATEAU
Volunteers from Greater Philadelphia Track Club
(top photo) and Philadelphia University Cross
Country Team (bottom photo) helped Project
Belmont Plateau by bringing "Surkill Hill" back to
life. Surekill Hill is part of the Classic 5 Mile XC
course not used for competition since 1998. With
the hard work of the volunteers, the Jack Saint Clair
XC Championship (held in Sept 2009) was the first
race to use the classic course and plans are made
to bring back this course for college and open
races in 2010.
