Northeast Philly 5 Mile Run
Honor Roll
The Northeast Philly 5 Mile Run was founded in 2004 by Pa. State Representative Dennis O'Brien and Philadelphia
Athletic Charities.  The first year, the race course started and finished by Father Judge HS and was run in the streets
and Pennypak Park.  In 2005, the race course was moved to the Northeast Philadelphia Airport where it is currently run.
The course is less hilly than the original and is an out and back course.  The race supports the Northeast Philadelphia
Youth Alliance.  Since the start of the race in 2004, Rep. O'Brien has been elected to serve as the PA. Speaker of the
House.
